Getessaypro – Jeffrey Dahmer Autopsy Photos Prison Reddit Twiter Viral. For years Eric Wynn was the only black drag queen at the 219 Club in Milwaukee. She took the stage as Eric Stevens and performed Whitney Houston, Grace Jones and Tina Turner songs in front of adoring fans. She was named Miss Gay Wisconsin in 1986 and 1987.

Wynn, now 58, worked at the club in the late 1980s and early 1990s. “I had a group of black kids who came here because they were represented,” he said. “I always saw them and let them know I saw them because they finally got a spot on the podium.”

Eddie Smith, often called “the sheik” because he wore a headscarf, and Anthony Hughes, who was hard of hearing, were two of them. Hughes was “my favorite fan,” and when Wynn winked at him from the stage, he blushed. In response, Hughes taught him the basics of sign language.

“He sat and laughed at me while I tried to learn sign language with false nails,” Wynn recalled with a laugh.

Wynn said the group of young black men began to shrink.

She said: “They were there, and then suddenly there were fewer of them.”

Jeffrey Dahmer killed, stabbed and ate 17 young men in Milwaukee between 1978 and 1991. Most of the victims were homosexuals. Club 219 was a place where Dahmer often went. He received 15 consecutive life sentences, but was killed in prison in 1994.

Several documentaries and books have been made about Dahmer’s life, but none have received as much attention and criticism as Netflix’s “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.”

This 10-part series by Ryan Murphy dramatizes the series of murders committed by Dahmer. Evan Peters as Dahmer and Niecy Nash as the neighbor who repeatedly tries to alert the police. The purpose of the film is to show the horror story of Dahmer through the stories of his victims.

Many critics thought the plan failed when Netflix put the series on the L.G.B.T.Q. vertical after its release last month. After people complained on Twitter, the tag was removed. Wynn and the victims’ families questioned the importance of making a serial killer seem interesting and real.

Wynn said: “It couldn’t be more wrong or at a worse time, and it’s a publicity stunt.” He also said he was “disappointed” in Murphy. “I didn’t like him very much.”

Murphy became famous for his high school comedy show Glee, but he has previously written about crime in real life. In his mini-series “American Crime Story,” he covered the murder of Gianni Versace, the O.J. Simpson trial and the impeachment of President Bill Clinton.

But what held Wynn back was Murphy’s transition from “The Normal Heart,” based on a play by AIDS activist Larry Kramer, and “Pose,” about the 1980s New York dance scene, to “Monster.”

Wynn said of Pose, “I was very impressed because we finally did a concert that we were a part of.” He also said: “It was a big tribute to all of us. Then he does it by showing that he’s actually attacking the black gay community.”

Wynn said “Monster” is more about Dahmer than it is about the people he hurt. Wynn said it didn’t help that it was an LGBTQ movie on Netflix and that it was released just before Halloween.

Netflix did not respond to a request for comment.

Rita Isbell, whose brother Errol Lindsay was killed by Dahmer, wrote an essay for Insider about how watching her brother’s version of Dahmer’s trial testimony on the Netflix series was like “reliving it all over again.”

“It made me remember all the feelings I had at the time,” she wrote. “No one told me about the series. I think Netflix should have asked us if we were okay with it or how we felt about it. No one asked me anything. They did it right away.”

Eric Perry, who said he is related to Isbell, wrote that the show is “traumatizing again, and for what?

Scott Gunkel, 62, was a bartender at Club 219 when Dahmer went there. Gunkel watched the first two episodes of “Monster” but couldn’t continue. He said he and his friends “don’t want to go through it again.”
